Blanchester vs. Tuslaw, a preview

Live at the legendary St. John Arena on the campus of the Ohio State University, it's the first OHSAA team wrestling tournament. Blanchester will be wrestling at 1:15 against Tuslaw on mat #6 (pictured above).

Tuslaw is the #2 seed and defeated the top team in the state, Waynedale, 35-31 in its regional championship.  Blanchester was a 48-27 winner over Deer Park in its regional championshp at Blanchester High School Wednesday.

According to InterMat Wrestling, Tuslaw brings several wrestlers ranked in the top 16 in the state into the dual: Shane Johnston (106), Dion Perez (120), Dylan Marthey (132), Chance Marthey (138), Jeff Powell (152) and D.J. Blair (160). Only Blanchester's Travis Boyd (#2 at 220) is ranked in the top 16 in the state.

I'll be posting live updates in the post above. I'm not sure how accurate I'll be able to get as far as names go, since rosters in dual matches are often switched around. But I'll at least post weight class and results.
